Selina was born in Singapore and currently lives in London.
Her love affair with photography began with her first SLR camera - a Pentax K1000 - which she was given when she arrived at Oxford to do a DPhil in Politics in 1990. The magic of shooting and developing that first roll of film has stayed with her ever since.
A varied and interesting career in thinktankery, Whitehall and academia ensued but the allure of a life lived through visual expression eventually proved too overwhelming. In 2011 she enrolled at the London College of Communication to study photography with the aim of going professional.
Selina’s thoughtful, observant and measured aesthetic approach lends itself to the making of portraits with depth and character, and to a visual sensitivity to the ephemeral beauty of spaces, framed by light and structure.
Her photographs have been shown at several exhibitions - notably the Sony World Photo in 2011 - and published in Black and White Photography, EcologiK and Climber magazines as well as on numerous websites.
Recent commissions include Browns Hotel, The Off Centre and 240 Project.
